The Birth of Parkarr and Difuentez

Blog No. 115: Parker's BDay Bash!

Woke up early-ish to help John move beds from his room to the baby's room so that the new, larger bed can be in the master bedroom. Something was missing from the box that attaches the wheels to the bedframe and they're coming by tomorrow, again, to rectify that. Their new bed is really square...

Then I got word that a birthday party was going to happen when Parkarr called, so I dashed to take a shower. By the time Taka and Parker were outside the house, I pretty much came out of the shower... XP

Parker drove Taka and me to the bowling alley by ARC, where we met up with Piper and Tom. We had to wait to get in our lanes, so we hung out in the arcade for a bit. During the middle of my fierce Tekken game, Parkarr's family arrived. They're pretty cool people! Parker's parents provided us with lane time, soda, and popcorn, which was nice. Parker's little brother really looks like him, too. XP

After we got our shoes and our balls, Piper was filling out the electric score card. Now, I have an anouncement to make:

Tom's name is now Difuentez.

It's official. I gave Tom the new nickname when he complained that everyone else's names on the bowling score card were nicknames. I should've gave him the name 8-Ball, because the score card read:

Parkarrrrrr
Rabbiman
O.Jaaayyy
Piperrrrrr
Difuentez

Would've made an awesome political issue reference. :P

The first round was awesome because I won, naturally. XP

Then the second round, I got two strikes in a row, which is a new personal record. By the time I got the second strike in a row, I kinda got the mechanics of how to bowl perfectly. Unfortunately, Tom picked up a spare in his game, which made him win by ONE point. Too bad I didn't get the Turkey, because I would've so gobbled after the third strike...

Then we only bowled half the third round because time ran out. Taka had bowled two strikes in a row, too, and the timer ran out during Difuentez's second round where he picked up the spare. It didn't show up on his score though. XP

After the epic bowling match, we went into the little arcade. I still had some change left, so I went to try my luck at the moving square game. I was only three squares away from getting another iPod too... Then Piper wanted to go play DDR, and I said I'll do it if we all do it at the same time. So we played five-person DDR. I mainly got one square most of the time, because we switched between rounds. The last round was awesome because Difuentez and I got the outside directional arrows, Piper and Parkarr got both the up and down arrows, and Taka played on both of the inside arrows. XP

Then the five of us booked to the Sizzler down the road, where the burgers were kinda big and it mostly consisted of half a head of lettuce. I got some soft serve ice cream though, which kinda made up for our last Sizzler trip because I was in the mood for ice cream for the longest time. Taka also got her clam chowder, too. XP

Then we went home. :D

Choir Festivus

Blog No. 114: Choir Festival at Sierra College

I'll probably need one of those voice synthesizers that Steven Hawking has for the next few days.

Today was basically a clinic on our Choir ensemble. There were a few choirs performing in the theatre at Sierra College, including the Chamber Singers and us Concert Choir folk, and there was a clinician that would come up after the performances to work with the choirs. XP

There was an overcast of worry and fear striking onto everyone's faces as we arrived, one by one, to sing in front of the clinician. Dr. Hughes made it very clear that we had to pull out everything we got into the music today, seeing as we were not up to par in learning our parts this week.

Parker, Taka, King, and I arrived early to see the Chamber folk sing their four pieces, including the italian sex song Piper has been giggling about all week and the german gypsy song everyone complained about. First we went to the Sierra College cafeteria to, supposedly, get some breakfast. When we walked on campus, we pretty much voted that Sierra College is a better looking college than ARC. The cafeteria was about the same size, but it had more comfortable seating and the food was arranged more openly. No one got a breakfast, but I got a coffee at the Seattle's Best Coffee stand. The bookstore even had a more decent selection of munchies, medicinal drugs, and swag, including playing cards Taka and I bought. XP

Chamber was awesome, as usual. Even the clinician barely had anything to add to your performance. You guys are just too hard on yourselves!

Then we started listening to another choir, and it was pretty clear that the quality and effort didn't show for the rest of the choirs. So we booked!, as Taka would put it. XD

The majority of us ARC folk booked to some fast food joints. Tom drove Piper, Parker, Taka, and I to a McDonald's. Well, Piper and I went to Togo's first to get sandwiches, then Taka, Tom, and Parker got McDonald's. Between eating, we had some Asian Speed sessions with the new cards, only the cards are very slick and stiff to play with. :P

Then we rushed back to Parker's car to change. We basically changed from our street clothes to our concert clothes in the street. Everyone got to see my green boxer-briefs today! :P

The Concert Choir performed, and we weren't to suckish at all. She really didn't correct us on much, just gave a few new ideas to express emotion toward the two tougher pieces. Victory! :D

Afterwards, I walked outside to hang out with some Chamber folk. I watched Link and JT throwing a whistling nerf ball across the courtyard... I think that could be my new catchphrase... "WHISTLING NERFBALLZ!" :P

Once half the Choir left, we had to reenter the theatre to do a giant rehearsal of "He, Watching Over Israel" where all the choirs combined to sing this one piece as a optomistic exercise. I've been personally dreading it because we NEVER went over the piece, but it was fine because it was easier than previously thought to sightread it. XP

After the Mass Choir thing, Piper, Tom, Parkarr, Taka, King, Dictator Roze, Seargent Pepper, and I were hanging out taking pictures in front of the fountain, doing random stuff like ballet poses, diva singing, folder fencing, the can can, and various other things. XP

Then, after a change of clothes on the street (again! XP) and a quick Starbucks break, the four of us kicked it at Taka's to play Odin Sphere and DDR. Taka also made fried chicken and rice, which we ate on a bamboo table and sat on the floor Asian style! XD

Oolong Day

Blog No. 113: Oolong Day

Oolong Day-A day where you are mentally not inside your body, and you can't help but have FAIL moments sprinkled throughout that day. XP

I know I said that Oolong Day was on Tuesday, but I'm putting it as today because it fits better.

The story behind Oolong Day is basically that I forgot the names of the days of the week for like 8 seconds. Literally. I was talking to my mom that other day, trying to explain to her what I needed to do on Thursday. She didn't understand me at first for some reason. Then she told me that I said the words Oolong Day instead of "Thursday." How the word "Oolong" came out, I haven't the faintest... XD

Today seemed like Oolong Day anyways.

Instead of going to do my archery tournament, Susan Surrandon and I finally finished our colorimety lab assignment... That was due on Monday... But The Weissbart is generally lazy, so he'll grade without care, hopefully. XP

I still had some time before Choir, so I actually went to do my secional with two other Tenors. Only, there was no practice room available. So, Miguel, Bert, and I took our Tenor II sectional outside on a bench outside the theatre.

Choir was not at all bad, after a rocky start. It was a good thing we practiced some of the music transitions! If only I didn't have to sing super high during the Tenor soli for Placido E^ Il Mar. Then we got the rundown of how the Choir Festival is going to be played out. Basically...

Oh, and, as class ended, I caught myself staring at the back of Miguel's pants as he was leaving for like 20 seconds... Well I'm fascinated with checkerboard patterns, and there was one on his right rear pocket... You know the day is going by too slow when I'm looking at another guy's ass. XP

... Sorry Miguel! XD

Then after choir, Taka and I heard the Latin Jazz Ensemble play outside. We went outside to check out the festivites. Dictator Roze really stands out in that band, being a flute in a primarily latin jazz ensemble. Rindy, a high school friend that I forgot about until Jazz History class, was on vocals. I also saw James, a random guitarist I befriended in the music hallway, and Picasso-Face, the tenor saxophone player I met in the pit orchestra for Wizard of Oz who pretty much stalked Fishie and KT (XP), playing the only song we remember, the "Molestoso" one. XD

Taka and I also grabbed a couple of brownies from the Native American club's booth. I gave mine to Dictator Roze, so I nibbled off of Taka's. XP

Then Piper, Parkarr, Taka, and I went off to Italian. I think Professoressa Martinelli is getting used to Parkarr being in the class with us, seeing as he only sleeps during our class. XP

Italian was funny because I got called up to be part of a demonstration of direct object pronouns. What she basically did was pull down the projector screen and asked the class "ci vedite?" which translates to "Do y'all see us?" in which the class is supposed to respond "Si, vi vediamo" which is "Yes, we see you." Then we hid behind the screen and asked Ci vedite? again, to which the class answered No, non ve vediamo (No, we don't see you).

So basically, I played Hide and Seek with Martinelli, which was basically the high point of my day. XP

Mosquitoes Are Out To Get Me

Blog No. 112: Mosquitoes Are Out To Get Me

The menace:

These past few days it has been getting hotter and hotter and HOTTER. It's only spring and already it has gone up to summer temperatures. It also means that, at some point, I'm going to have to clean out the back yard a little bit...

Anyways, as the weather changes I've been noticing more and more bugs, specifically the mosquito. Which can only mean one thing, we're due for our malaria/West Nile virus scare. XP

Seriously though, they are annoying little buggers. Just the other day, as my mom left the house that evening, there was like 5 mosquitoes, 3 moths, and a spider by the porch light as she got out. I was whacking them back and forth with my mom's purse to let her out and to keep them from going inside. Stupid annoying bugs...

I've also realized that whenever I notice or am in the presence of bugs, my hair gets all itchy. Sure that my hair is normally itchy anyway, but still... And it's not only my hair, it's also my legs, my chest, and my ears... I guess they all have hair on them... To an extent... XP

Need to make an eye doctor appointment at some point. My glasses are in need of an upgrade. That and my vision changes ever so slightly every couple of years. Of course, my head is too big for the general frames my doctor has, so I'll be limited as to the selection...

~~~~~
My Answers:
Would you ever go Veggie? :D
Sure. I would eat lots and LOTS of Broccoli! XP
(Piper)
What's the most naked you've ever been in public?
My~Otome
Blog No. 111: My~Otome
Sifr and Rena
Got the rough storyline of it today while watching a few episodes with Taka. It connects with another series called My HiME, which is also pretty involved. The rough version: It deals with bloodlines and royalty, snail like monsters, future technology reviving older technology but still far off from being modern technology, female body guards, crystals and "digivolution"esque battle sequences, child abandonment issues, and boobs.
Sifr is some sort of princess of a family that has a power over the Otome, which are super powerful nanomachine enhanced female knights, but she didn't know that at first. Then she goes on some quest to become an Otome, which I guess backfired. Then she was apparently getting kidnapped by two groups, representing the Windbloom and the Garderobe, (which I think ones a kingdom and the others an Otome academy).
Rena is one of the four Otome, guarding Sifr's uncle Bruce, that ends up rescuing Sifr from some kidnappers off a train. Sifr felt some connection with Rena, with some strong lesbian conotations. [Insert two women one bathtub scene]. Only Rena lied to Sifr about not being an Otome, when really she's like the most powerful one there. Then apparently there's this other Otome with them, Elliot, that had a history with Rena. [Insert Elli almost forcing herself on Rena].
Cute. Asian. Lesbian.
Sounds like someone I know... XP
Then there was a Rena Vs. Female Robot battle, a spaceship laser, a desert crater with golden wings, Sifr in a glass ball, another Rena Vs. Female Robot battle [including a part where the robot grabbed Rena's boob to throw her against a meteorite and a part where Rena basically powerbombed the robot from space], and a star next to the moon...
All I know is that the graphics are pretty good. It has a good pace to it, not dragged out like some animes are. Maybe if I watched it from the beginning, I'd get a better sense of it.
~~~~~
My Answers:

(Taka's Q's)
Would you rather have your kidney removed or your eye? o 3o
Personally, I'd go with my right eye, partly because I mostly see out of my left eye anyway, partly because I'm attached to my kidney, and partly because I want an eye patch. XP

If you were to choose a cartoon or anime to be apart of, which would you choose? :D
Pokemon, just so that I can catch a Scizor and an Arcanine. XP

Can you survive a day without food? :D
Maybe. I have technically pulled it off before, but I had some side affects of grumpiness and insanity. XP

(Piper's Q's)
What is the most meaningful thing that you have ever had someone say to you?
6th grade, Ms. Siti suggested I'd go to Natomas Charter because she thought that I was "a big dreamer with the gumption of overcoming any obstacles that comes [my] way and would fully be capable of reaching new heights in whatever [I] set [my] mind to." It was pretty much written on my final report card before I was promoted to the 7th grade. XP

What would you do if I [Piper] died or found out that [Piper] had terminal cancer?
I would prolly cry for a little while, then wonder how I would get my second brain back... XP

What is something that you wish you could do over?
Chemistry, so I wouldn't be tiptoeing between passing and barely passing. XP

If you had a different color of hair, what color would you have?
GREEN!

My Question:
What superpower would you have?

A Word From the Italian Dictionary

Blog No. 110: A Word From the Italian Dictionary

I'm pulling a word from the Italian Dictionary and I'm going to use it in as many sentences I can, be it in Italian or English.

The Word: Puffy/Gonfio (adjective)

How do they make those Peeps that puffy?

Ho i capelli molti gonfi. (I have very puffy hair.)

Puffiness is such sweet sorrow.

Hanno una gatta bassa e gonfia. (They have a fat, puffy cat.)

You have a very puffy bush, and your shrubbery needs to be trimmed as well.

Fa gonfio. (It is puffy outside.)

If Buffy is a vampire slayer, then I got to say that Puffy is a rabbit slayer.

I loro tormentone ha un suono gonfio. (Their catchprase has a puffy sound.)

Is Puff Daddy really that puffy to be called "Puff Daddy"?

Non c'e^ dubbio che le tue onde e^ gonfie. (There is no doubt that your waves are puffy.)

...

I'm out.

Why am I doing this? It's good practice... And my English to Italian Dictionary is right next to the keyboard. XP

Blog No. 109: The Title Sounds Like an Oxymoron.

There's absolutely NOTHING to talk about for Sunday 4/19...

Literally.

What I did was basically re-reorganized my room. I finally set up some game systems, like my Playstation 2 and Wii. I was going to set up my Nintendo 64, "kicking it old school" is how they say it on the street, (the very nerdy street), but I had assumed that I had some of the cool old games, like Pokemon Stadium 2, or Super Smash Bros., or the Donkey Kong game it came with, or a Zelda game. Then I remembered that I did play those games in my youth, however they were borrowed from my cousin's friends... But I could've sworn I at least had the DK game, I mean I specifically got that game because it cae with a super awesome GREEN N64.

Thieves... Gnome sized thieves... With pitchfork tridents...

Pitchfork + Trident + Imagination = Pitchfork tridents. It works, trust me. XP

Anywho... I'd figured I'd set up the gaming systems because the "new" TV is hooked up into my room. It's bulky, but it has a DVD player in the mechanism.

...

I should start a new thing on here.

Old Sac and Barnes & Noble

Blog No. 108: Parkarr's, Taka's, and David's Grand Sacramento Tour Adventure

Seriously though, we went around Sacramento for the longest time.

First, we headed to the Downtown Plaza and started taking pictures according to the treasure hunt idea Parkarr and Taka came up with. We basically had to take pictures of some random things corresoponding to the list they printed out. Something round. Something with contents inside. A ring that's not worn on your finger. And so on.

We ended up walking the entire Plaza, through Macy's, toward the Hard Rock Cafe. Then we walked down K Street to look for a good enough statue. We ended up going to one of my coffeeshops, Temple, and took a picture of our coffee instead.

Then we strayed off our K street course to the Cesar Chavez Park, where we took a pic of a flower, a cool looking tree, and something involving fire, which was the cool looking tree. We sat a table over there and I whipped out my deck of cards and played some intense sessions of Asian Speed. Parkarr is slowly getting faster at this game, he'll eventually be at a fast enough level. Taka is still supah fast though, hence the "Asian" in Asian Speed. XP

Taka chased down some albino pigeons that were apparently trying to get it on with eachother. Pigeon porn, as she called it. Then she chased down and took a picture of a squirrel trying to hump the tree. Animals are weird. XD

We walked back down J street to Old Sac, where we were going to go to the Railroad Museum, but it was getting to close to closing time. Since when is 5 o'clock a suitable closing time for museums? We ended up walking to the Delta King and looking at the river. Then we hit the Stage Nine Store and Evangeline's Costume Shop. There were some pretty cool stuff in there. XP

Before we knew it, we were hungry so we decided to go driving around looking for a restaurant. We wanted to try out the italian restaurant Taka was talking to us about, Buca Di Beppo, so we took a long way to Howe Avenue.

J--> Alhambra--> Broadway--> Stockton--> Asian community--> Railyards--> PowerInn/Howe

But then we saw the restaurant being invaded by a high school prom, with a HUGE line outside the restaurant... It looked so cool and fancy too... Stupid high school prom...

Howe-->Arden-->Truxel-->Arco Arena-->Sizzler

We ended up at the Sizzler near my mom's apartment. It was basically a giant circle. But still, eating at Sizzler was pretty good. We each had a meal with endless salad bar... A really good salad bar... Taka and I picked up our game of Asian Speed while we waited for our meal and sometime after. It was funny because some kid nearby was asking a man next to him what card game we were playing. Taka: 4 ; Rabbiman: 1. :D

Then we took our party to the Barnes & Noble by Target, where Taka and Parkarr introduced me to the Barnes & Noble Game. It's basically taking a random sentence out of some random books and combining them to see what story can be made! It was pretty funny because I used random books, like Obama's Inaugural Speech, an italian cuisine cookbook, and a cowboy XXX romance. (The results of this game can be found on Taka's blog [thisisnottaka.blogspot.com]) XP

Then our party ended. D:

But I had loads of fun! :D

Ok now for some legal Blog War stuff to catch up on:

My Answers:

(Taka's Q's)
Would you ever make out with the same sex? XDD!
Yeah... No. There would have to be a really really REALLY good reason I'd have to. It would either be the moment of truth where I'm saving someone's life or it's the cornerstone moment in my life where I found my true love. But alas, I know not the ways of CPR-dom, nor am I a homo. XP

Would you ever microwave christmas lights? :D
I WOULD! You know, if the microwave was set up at a bomb site in the middle of nowhere away from flammable stuff, like buildings... or trees... or people... XP

Would you create a cure for cancer if it involved sacrificing your own life to do so?

Sure. It's better than dying for nothing, right?

(Piper's Q's)
What is your favorite movie?
I tend to forget my favorite movies before the most recent movie I've seen. The most recent movie I've seen that I really liked was Yes Man. XP

What is your favorite day ever?
Calendar Day: May 2nd. The day I'm going to Santa Cruz with Piper. XP
Day in General: Whenever I go to Santa Cruz. XDDD
Day So Far: The Day I went to Ashland for the theatre trip. Two days with friends outside of California, watching professional quality theatre for school credit. XP

What do you see your life being like in a few years?
Pretty much like this, only in a different college campus setting. XD

What is the worst way you have ever failed at something?
Hmm. I don't think I'm at liberty to say this yet... XPPP

What is your favorite picture?
Coppertone Rabbiman. XP
If your talking about an actual picture, I'd say the one on my blog of the Blonde. XP

What would be the IDEAL spot for an annual reunion?
