Blog No. 87: Earth Hour

Earth Hour: Saturday March 28, 2009 at 8:30-9:30 PM

Pretty epic hour of darkness in my opinion.

Before the hour started, I started blogging about what I thought about love. I dissected that word up and down. It was a continuation of what I've done this week. I'll save this important information for the next blog. XD
Anyways, I was searching online for pictures/videos of people during Earth Hour. Here's what I've found:

Candlelit yoga.

Camera experimentation.

Egg torture.
I ended up making a fort in the middle of the living room with a blanket, bench, and table, played some Pokemon Platinum, and ate five cheese rigatoni from Lean Cuisine. XP

My Question: What did you do for Earth Hour?

Eggs Evolve into Trees

Blog No. 86: Eggs Evolve into Trees

--->Blog Start 10:21 PM

Urban Word of the Day (Reinstated): I think it's funny that Dustin's trying to have this *bromance* with me. He would succeed if he wasn't all gay about it. XP

Moving on...

So me and Abril were having a very random conversation the other day. It somehow ended up on Pokemon. She was saying how some of them do not make sense. Pokemon and Digimon.

So I asked, "Dude, how does a group of eggs change into a palm tree with six heads?"

And we pretty much LOL'd.

If you don't get the Pokemon reference:

Exeggcute ---> Exeggutor

Then the conversation continued; "So, if all Pokemon hatch from eggs, then does that mean that 6 eggs hatched from ONE egg?"

How does that make sense?

No idea.

PS: Hatching a plan involving Dustin and two pins. Details in blogs to come. XD

Fee Fi Folsom Bridge

Blog No. 85: Fee Fi Folsom Bridge

Blog Start---> 10:56 PM

The Folsom Bridge opens Saturday.

Does not affect me in anyway. XP

Except maybe when I sleepover at Patric's house...

If that's still happening... LOL

I think its time for a video. Here's what I currently am watching on YouTube:

Some bloopers of the show House.

A great Imogen Heap song. This was the song that was performed by the high school at the Jazz Vocal Performance at ARC. Those high schoolers did a great performance. Great vocals, great drum set, great electric cello/bass! XP

For the longest time I did not know the name of it after, until Piper told me! :D

Something I thought I would want to do if I work as a barista. XD

Bolt and Miley Cyrus

Blog No 83: Bolt an---WHERE DOES SHE GET OFF?

--->Blog Start 8:45 PM

My mom has been pestering me this entire month to get Bolt. I think it's some secret fascination with Miley Cyrus...

Movie Review: Bolt

It's a feel good, down to earth family movie I haven't seen in awhile. Bolt is a crime fighting super dog that needs to save his owner, Penny, from the "Green-Eyed Man," an evil doer known for his attempts to take over the world... and his green eyes. Thing is, none of it's real. As an acting technique, the TV producers manipulated the mind of this dog to get realistic stage reactions. When he escapes their clutches, he is thrown into the real world, slowly figuring out that none of its real, which leads to hidden desires of the picket fence home he never knew he wanted.

It is very entertaining. It has a fairly unique storyline and very engaging characters. Between a delusional dog, a clawless cat, and an even more delusional hamster, you've got a combination of a Disney classic.

The only turn off: Miley Cyrus.

I find visual aids help. XD

The animation in the movie looks really good. I would say that it's the awesome power of Pixar animation at work, but Pixar did not make this movie...

What's with that anyway? The whole controversy of PIXAR not wanting to be part of Disney, then they gave up or stopped caring... Yet they still have their own company to create movies? I thought it was Pixar for the longest time, yet it was made from the Disney people themselves..

Anyways...

4 out of 5 Thumbs Up--->Good enough to watch over and over again.

...

I just don't get Miley! Is she a rocker? Is she a country star? Is she with or against Disney? What's with the wig? Is she from Montana? Is she having identity issues? Does she think she's Britney Spears? Will she turn into Britney Spears? Should little girls emulate her and her multiple personality disorder? What do those little girls see in her? Why is there lesbian pictures of her? Is she turning into Lindsey Lohan? And a 21 year old "model" boyfriend? She's just starting to be a walking billboard of all of the current celebrity dramas into one person. WHERE DOES SHE GET OFF? XP

...

She very much has paternal issues to deal with...

...

She's going to be president someday isn't she?

...

Crap. We're doomed.

If there's a slim chance Miley stumbles over this, loved the 7 Things song!

When it wasn't blasting on the radio! XP

Pokemon Platinum: Start

Blog No. 82: Pokemon Platinum Chronicles Pt 1

--->Blog Start 10:57 PM

So it was wished for, so it was bought the next day, after fumbling through piles of junk for the game system to play it on only to find out that I already packed it, foreseeing an event very much like this one coming. XD

If you still thought that I wasn't a nerd, today's blog will rectify that easily! XP

So I got Platinum, and I started out with a Piplup. Walking through the cutscenes was long and tumultuous, being a veteran of the Pokemon games since Red and Blue. This time it had more useless dialouge. Everyone is in a rush, but it drags on so slow! I only got to the second town and only got my first gym badge. Then there's this "Team Galactic" Character they reveal from the get go, using a scene as a foreshadow for future events, *cough* end of world evil dasterdly plans pokemon torture *cough*. Figures.

After the first day, here's my status:

Cesar Lvl 16

When I got a Piplup, I just remembered Cesar. Don't know why. So I named it after him! It evolved and now it knows steel wing. I just basically conquered the Rock type gym. XD

Artemis Lvl 14

Ran out of girls names in my brain, and I thought his pelt reminded me of the moon. Why not name her after the Greek Goddess of the Moon? Plus I love the Shinx evolutions. Combining the love of Electric types and four-legged animals! XD

Azula Lvl 14

Yes, I'm training a Zubat. I have never trained a zubat before. I just now decided to train a Crobat as my flying type. It helped with training my Cesar, because it took so long to train it from Level 2...

Yeah. Not much work has been done, but I'll have time to work on it between "practicing for Choir" and "studying for Italian."

From the creators of VG Cats, here's a strip from Super Effective:

THAT takes me back. Nothing's like the feeling of a fresh new Pokemon game.

...

Tomorrow's blog will get back into reality, I promise. XD

Darkrai

Blog No. 81: Darkrai

--->Blog Start 9:02 PM

Darkrai :D

I want it!

I'm thinking of cosplaying as a Darkrai for Fanime. Need to come up with ideas on pulling it off.

SO awesome!

I'm also thinking of getting the Platinum Pokemon version. There is never any real difference between these singular games, but I would still get it. I still need to find a way to play Crystal again...

I need Darkrai!

More than I need to *POOP* XP
