Come Break Me Down, Bury Me, Bury Me

The Kill---30 Seconds to Mars

Blog No. 17: Baby Shower

Today was a day of manual labor, as explained in my previous blog. But it was worth it, seeing as it was for Audrey and John's baby, Lennox.

But still, it had ups and downs.

Meeting with the family. Very interesting. There are awkward moments because the strong family center was my grandmother, who died about a few years ago. The family center would've been inherited by my mother, who doesn't really plan much parties like my grandma did. So when it did come to family gatherings, like my sister's baby shower, everyone's all, "Oh, we should definitely come around more often" or "Man, you sure have grown a lot since I last saw you." Of course I did, I grew facial hair.

That wasn't the only issue. You see, I haven't seen much of John's family either. I've seen John's twin, Ben, and his girlfriend a lot, along with a couple of their usual friends like Sear, Nu, and Austin. But that's it. Maybe I've seen John's mom twice and his father once, but that's it. Plus, there was this period of time where John's parents, to put it simply, did not agree with the match of him and Audrey. To put it bluntly, they called her the devil. No joke. I was treading on foreign waters today. They seemed at ease though, although my mom is very much reading to their actions and whatnot.

Then there were people from Audrey and John's work. They were cool, giggly and bubbly, pretty much like Audrey. I remember Mary Ann was a real sweetheart, especially since she was the one who gave the most. Then there was Brenda, who just ended up talking to me a lot about her birds... *awkward turtle in space*

Audrey loved Kaylah's gift though. She was opening it up and smiled at each particle of clothing when she released them from their tissue coccoons. I got Lennox some piratical shoes, the slip ons like his father wear. Then they got a WHOLE BUNCH of stuff, clothes, blankets, bottle warmers, rockers, etc. She made out like a bandit.

Need to download pictures tomorrow, because I'm sure there's bound to be close to a hundred of them.

Now on to wedding mode! *exasperated moan*

Raindrops are Faling on my Head

Blog No. 16: Hardy Har Har

*scrunches face in frustration*

Where to begin?

Well, today was full of preparations for the baby shower. Everything was to be done today for decorating tomorrow. For me, that basically meant being a slave to manual labor and heavy lifting throughout shopping and loading the car with decorations and whatnot...

Tomorrow! Oh my god. Just not really looking forward to it right now... GAH!

Then, while I was driving today, the right blinker light blinked very rapidly, showing that my right tail light is out. So I have to replace THAT when I have my driver's test THIS friday. Why? No idea. The lady at the DMV called while I was boarding my train yesterday to reschedule to this friday. Then THIS happens... Anymore bad omens you want to throw at me? HUH?

Then I look on my myspace and see that Dustin and Patric are doing something this weekend, which means no sleepover this weekend. I was looking forward to it as a big blowout before school, like my camping trip before I started college and the Santa Cruz trips. Ah well...

Then, on top of that, I'm really going to look forward to my full Tuesdays and Thursdays this semester. Spanish, Archery, and Choir back to back, then Italian then Biology at night. I feel tired already. I just have to tell myself that it will be worth it. It would HAVE to be. Biology will stop halfway, after that it would end at 4 o'clock. Until then, My TTh are from 7:30 to 9 at night...

Fun.

Ojos De Agua De Suen(y)o

Cloudburst---Eric Whitacre

The 'n' has a tilde.

Too tired to listen to music.

Blog No. 15: Santa Cruz Withdrawal

So this morning I got up at 6AM. Why you ask? I was needed home today by noon. Of course with my luck, there was no Santa Cruz bus that ran early enough to take me to the early Highway 17 bus to Dirdiron Station. Kaylah got me a cab. The driver's name was Dave Moyes, a really funny and happy white-haired man that loved to travel. It was fun talking to him. He told me about a garden just outside the campus that had a little habitat for hummingbirds. If Kaylah/Terry is reading this, I want to go! *smiles* Anywho, the cab was about twenty-five dollars after tip.

At the bus stop, I stood there with my over the shoulder bag, backpack, blanket bag, and the baby shower gift bag Kaylah sent home with me for Saturday. You could imagine how ridiculous I looked at 7 o'clock in the morning. At least 4 people asked about the reason behind the gift bag. I didn't feel like talking too much so I said that it was a gift for my wife who just asked for a divorce. To be honest, I could've just said baby shower and ran away, but this reason was more fun! *sticks tongue out, jokingly*

Bus --> Train

It didn't work though with this one guy who was going to Emeryville for a funeral... *moos*

Listened to music on the trip home, basically.

When I got back to Sac, I rushed back into Starbucks to get my scarf I left behind from Sunday. I got it in one piece, thanks to my mom who called ahead and asked it to be held onto til today with my name on it. I'm happy *grins*

Of course, I had chores to do today. I basically went with my mom to take my grandfather to the eye surgeon. I waited in the waiting room, watching a warped TV that bothered me very much. On top of that, the TV had Oprah on and the topic today was menopause... Dr. Phil's Wife, who looks like a man by the way, was on there for some reason... I really did not want to watch something about female hormones, anticipating the biggest hormonal imbalance when my sister gives birth...

I'm very much sleepy, so I shall leave you with a few words:

"You've just lost the game."

You Said You Feel Like a Bruise, On a Beautiful Body

Funnyman---KT Tunstall

Blog No. 14: Santa Cruz Day 4

Blogging early today because I just might conk out early today in order to catch the bus home in the morning.

Today's plan is to go downtown again to Farmer's Market day. It would be natural for a cook, like Kaylah, to go to Farmer's. I'm going to check it out with her and see if for myself and take some pictures. It'll be pretty neat to see.

Then we will go shopping again for more random things. Kaylah is planning a big dinner for her residents on Saturday, so she's stocking up on supplies.

Me? I plan to just sightsee some more and help Kaylah as much as I can because, as usual, she's falling a little ill. She was complaining about some stomach pains today that came up last night. She says it might be from whatever Terry and Jackson had, but all they're having are the sniffles. It always seems to be that she gets sick during or after the time I get here. I'm not sure what that says about me. *frowns*

Also, I ended up not do the prank, which was expected really... I always end up going to do something and go through the process, but never really do it. Ah well! *smiles*

Off to call a cab!

If You Gots the Poison, I Gots the Remedy

Remedy (I Won't Worry)---Jason Mraz

Blog No. 13: Santa Cruz Day 3

Yes, Angela, the blog war is ON. Only I don't know what's going on, am I making a rule now? Does it apply to me? HM?

Anyways, today was more relaxing and active at the same time.

The only main thing we actually did was go to the McHenry library. But it was oh so satisfying. You see, Kaylah has this secret spot on the third level of the library where there are these two red soft and cozy chairs that face the windowed walls that overlook the front of the library, which has this swirling bike path that goes around the foresty trees and the rolling grass that ran with the steps to the building. It was very pretty.

Kaylah basically had some reading to do for class, which left me with some solitary free time. I was glad because I started to sketch in my sketchbook again. I was going to study a little bit more on my chemistry for the assessment test, but instead I really felt the need to draw lately, which I'm very glad for.

It was active in that it was a hike from Kresge to McHenry. I got some decent photos along the way of a doe and a raven, plus a beach view from the music and recital hall. I always like walking on campus because it takes alot of cardio to do it. If I were to take classes that spread far apart, I would not mind. I would end up with more stamina. So I got the blood pumping!

Then, at night, the guys came over with their laptops to do some games and download crud for homework. It allowed me to come up with an idea as I walked outside. There's this sign across the way that says 'Writers House' which holds the lit majors in those apartments. From the sign, they had the grammar wrong. So what I'm thinking is that I devise a smaller sign of an apostrophe out of paper and duct tape and stick it on the sign before I leave. It would be fun!

If you gots the poison, I gots the remedy. :P

PS: If I get to make a rule here it is "Rule 2: Emoticons are forbidden. Instead you must verbally describe the gestures to replace them. Ex) *scratches head in confusion*"

Royal, Directional, Pirate

I just realized something important... I don't have my origami calendar! I'm BEHIND!!! 12 days behind to be exact.

Darn.

Anyways, back to the blog.

Blog No. 12: Santa Cruz Day 2

The day was pretty mellow.

Walked downtown for a bit. I'm starting this thing where whenever I go anywhere I come up with three random adjectives and I have to buy souvenirs that can be described by these adjectives. I came up with the words: Royal, Directional, and Pirate. I know 'Pirate' isn't technically an adjective, but it fit for today. I also had to get a shirt and a baby shower gift for my half-asian nephew. For cheap reasons, I've tied these souvenirs with what I had to get anyway to be more economical. Fairly simple really. Anyways, I accomplished that and now I don't need to buy anymore souvenirs!

I was chagrinned today too. While I was walking, I saw that the music store that I always go to is going out of business! Why Rhythm Fusion, WHY??? Stupid American market economy crisis...

And I grabbed coffee at Lulu's.

Took the bus back to the apartment to meet Kaylah and Terry, then basically took the bus back downtown minutes later for food...

Had thai food at Pacific Thai. It's pretty good in my opinion. Very vegetable-y. Very much like the good ol' asian food everywhere else. They also had this cherry juice blended tea that is supremely good.

Took the bus, again, back.

Kaylah filled out paperwork so that she can go to my sister's wedding. She also hid Terry's phone in her boobs, then it fell through her bra, down her shirt, and stubbed her toe. Karma.

Terry is trying to save his job right now by making a bunch of calls. I decided to crank up leekspin.com up to annoy Terry. It just ended up making him do the peepee dance.

Funstuff!

Home Sweet Home

Blog No. 11: Santa Cruz Day 1

Blue Man Group orgy. Enough said.

Debra Messing is a man. She would have to be in order for Kaylah to make out with her.

Zombies, Experiment, X-ray; because there was no diabolical 'S' block available. Hence there's an 'S' 'E' 'X' in Texas.

Cherry fruit snack nipples.

ROSEBUD!

Kaylah would turn Clay Aiken gay with himself.

Terry can't urinate outside because he sits down... That would have to be the reason why he's torturing himself.

Just a few of the new topics discussed here in this dorm as I type my blog.

Home sweet home. :D
